Let's Get Moving

One of the most important things for regulating yourself is movement. In this series, we look at how you can help your kids (and you!) get moving!

Course Summary

One of the three most important things for regulating yourself is movement. In our series on movement, we look at how you can help your kids (and you!) get moving. This isn't just about physical health and avoiding overweight kids/obesity, but it's really about all the ways getting moving helps to balance your mood, manage your stress, and stay connected from the very beginning of life.

In this series, we talk to mother and wellness educator, Bethany Springer, for real world examples of how you can add some movement into your life as a parent. These are super doable and I've been enjoying putting them into practice since we had the conversation!

We also had the privilege of talking with Larry Cohen Ph.D., author of Playful Parenting and his newest book The Opposite of Worry, about avoiding power struggles and getting everyone moving. We even talked about handling the transition away from technology and how to maintain the connection.

We end this series with Kate White, RCST, who is a body worker specializing in Pre and Perinatal Psychology. She talks about early movement patterns (like in the womb) and how those patterns continue after birth. If you have a baby or are expecting, this is an important conversation for you!

You'll enjoy the practical tips as well as the science in each of these conversations!
